I have NO idea, how many times I have walked around the St. Mary’s Church in Gdańsk… But never – untill recently have I realized how many traces of the past can be found on the walls 😉
Bricks… They surely CAN tell the story if we know how to read it, and if we allow them to speak 😉 Some have the traces of man’s fingers, others bear the traces of Holy Saturday lights. There are some, on which there still can be seen the remains of the wall cracking surveys… There are signatures, some recent, some allready historical. Who was the HD – who signed in 1938 ? What happened to him (her) ?
